Not a very frequent poster on here but if anyone can PM me these tracks, I would very much appreciate it. Not savvy enough to find it anywhere else. Was thinking of holding out until the digital release but losing my patience haha.

thanks for the lyric work guys, added those to the wiki. need some help clarifying a few lines in Gnip Gnop and Hounds, specifically:
Hounds of Bairro:
With recklessness
And should a gambit
Throw the game
A hard reset won't clear the portal out
I listened to every recording of Hounds on the internet (YT etc) and it isn't clear in any of them. I've heard everything from "boy" "bible" "purple" "poyple" "portal", so it might be Noah and Dave saying different words at the same time, to mask both of them.
G-nip G-nop
The beautiful green top where
My mind is ???
The concentration's locked on

Both this new 7" and the Painting With vinyl have (IMO) their best sounding vinyl mastering to date. Perfect volume, balance and lack of sibilance. Listen to the Honeycomb single again after this and it sounds kind of terrible.

Here ya go Diomedes. In the verses it's weird because the chords are held for kinda long. Each D chord gets played for 8 full bars, and each G chord or A chord gets 4 bars
(sorry if this is hard to read, chords are below the lyrics)

It's pretty disrespectful to other listeners on here to imply they don't get it. I wouldn't say 'your undiscerning critical ear and desperate need for satisfaction have blinded you to reality'.
The comment that the songs shift and morph depending on which part you're listening to might need one single example to back it up, though, because it comes across as meaningless hollow rhetoric. It's also meaningless to say 'they keep on giving'. In what sense?
To me, as to a number of people who like them, they sound like prescribed exercises. I like a number of them for certain melodies and harmonies, they're catchy for the most part, they're energetic. They've just never been so formulaic and predictable before.
It's one thing to discuss the music but another to say that people are listening incorrectly.

Hey y'all,
By "what"ever means necessary (wink wink), I procured a lossless hi-res rip of the 7'' and, again, performed some mastering magic on the two songs so they match the eq, tone/texture, and loudness of the digital 'Painting With' files as closely as my ears could hear (it doubly clear). In the case of never getting digital files of these, I think this will be as close as we'll get. If you're an ocd, mild-audiophile nerd like myself, the rip-quality--lossless format--bit depth--sample rate stuff matters. So, I will crunchatize thee if thee so asks with the following:
24/88.2 wav files (hi-res), 16/44.1 wav files (cd-res), high quality front and back scans of the 7'' and accompanying spectrograms of each song
This way, if you downloaded the hi-res PW files, you can play the 7'' hi-res files without sample rate issues. I also provide regular cd quality res files for ease of listening across different sources. I trust you can find a way to convert to lossy (mp3/aac) if you want, but I'm only into that good huge file shiz. And please, please, please, don't go willy nilly sharing the dl link to this shiz. Among CA peeps, fine (even though there are lurkers among us with less-than noble intentions... I'm looking at you indieshuffle Deak-prose hijacker). But pretty please, don't start throwing this around on soundclown, ootube, guyspace, or whatever the latest streaming craze.*Spoiler: show
Sup,
On account of my OCDizzle/love of doing it, I have the best and last (promise!) iteration of the "as close to the digital PW files as possible" re(re)mastered 7'' files up for offer. These new ones have a touch more zip and zazzle in the upper range. The dl has everything mentioned in my previous post + high-quality, tagged 320 kbps files (for those that need the smaller size). Even if you hit me up before, feel free to do so again. Always happy to hook it up! Also, "Hounds" has become one of my favorite AC songs (just wanted to share that

...without word on the digital versions yet, my impatience got the better of me today as i finally had my lo-fi, rough-around-the-edges listening experience i was dreading by finally listening to my Hounds/GG 45 on my turntable of shite played through battery powered speakers using questionable quality patch cables...
...it was like listening to it through the speaker of the 1 train...
...can a fellow tiger get a linque, por favor?...

Random question but did anyone else's record get delivered in this bizarre, jagged wrapping paper? I've never seen anything like it.
