I talked to Abby Portner for a sec after the show. She said she created the set design and visuals for the show. She was at the control booth all night. I wonder if she will be with them the whole tour. So awesome!!!

that loch raven vid is pretty good. this boot/ny boots/all of this tour is gonna be ammazzzzzing bootleg material. i mean chz tour was amazing too, but it doesnt seem like theyre repeating any of the songs they played that tour. no chz songs, no sj and only daily routine from mpp... pretty different vibe than that tour

lol o shit ok, i cant really tell if its the same but i def remember that some lyric about coming back. thatd be a sweet kind of song to cover

and ya this version of alvin row was kind of like the last 5 minutes of that song i think basically, they just kind of got right into it. the whole dang thing would be cool but i mean if they sang a single line of that song its still awesome. this version is amazing.

very first time played ever. unless they somehow played some version in the early dark days of danse era tours but nah this has gotta be first one. chocolate girl is the only other spirit song they've ever played live i thought.

Haha, had no idea that first "new song" was actually a cover, just listened to the original on YouTube and that was def what they played. So I guess they only played one new song then. But yeah, this was a super fun show. Natural selection was a perfect opener, they did this super intense synth jam before launching into the song and it was amazing. My only complaint with the whole show was that the sound was bit lackluster in some moments. As someone stated earlier, Avey def seemed kinda irritated, and with good reason cause I could barely hear his vocals at all for the first few songs. At one point, I think during the second half of daily routine, the speakers were not handling the sound well and distorting a bit, and Avey just kinda shrugged at geo like "ah, oh well. what are ya gonna do?" Panda sounded great tho. He fuckin nailed those high notes at the end of the burglars. Jeremys drumming seemed kinda toned down compared to how flashy he was with slasher flicks, but I think that's a good thing overall, it serves these songs better to just keep the beat. Alvin row was def the highlight for me, didn't even understand what was happening til a few verses in, then I lost my shit. Floridada was really amazing live too, so much energy.

Am now filled with dread that they won't play Alvin Row when I see them. Might message Avey on IG soon and see if they'll swing by Ireland for a few. Will offer him Guinness obviously. If not then I'll rise over to England. Offer him Stanshant obviously.

I really hope the play Alvin Row when they come to Nashville. I may have to break my streak and buy some weed before the show. I rarely smoke anymore due to severe anxiety issues, but this seems like an appropriate opportunity. I'm hoping it breaks my current favorite live show of Dan Deacon in Nashville.
