i got my tick at like 1215 during lunch cause i knew this would sell like acid at a dead show ...

God , am I lucky ! I paid less than 40 smackaroos

my two friends accompanying me got their ticks the next day for 170 dollars for two ... yeah ...

but we're all in there ... so pumped cant wait ... like two months ...

i just splurged and got myself a ticket and a hotel room... figure the drive from nyc was worth it to see the first show on release day

anyone know any good spots to hit up after the show?

a short walk to center city from union transfer, many bars and clubs and whatnot. go north/northeast to northern liberties for a night at barcade (bar + arcade imagine that) or the barbary, with many a-themed nights of cheap drinking and music.

I'm planning on recording it. Can't promise it will be super good quality, because I'm using my iphone, but hey, I recorded the first few songs of the PB show i saw there and it came out great.

anyone know if UT allows field recorders? I just got a DR-40 and would love to record the show. but would rather not have to throw $150 in the trash to get into the venue. either way, you should bring yours!

i dunno when I saw death grips there over the summer 10 minutes before doors they told everyone no bags would be permitted in the venue, told everyone to take the bags to their cars and everyone got a full pat down and metal scan before entry. other (not sold out) shows have just been showing your ticket at walking in. I'll call the day of the show and see what their policy is for that night.

hey think i just bought 2 tickets for way too much so if someone still needs 1 I'd be glad to sell for like 50ish or something... just based on what i had to pay (like 80 ;_:) hmu, see u guys there. ill prrrrbbly wear my panda shirt but not sure lol

i haven't listened to anything yet. if i get the album early enough in the week, i'm gonna listen, but if i don't get it til thursday/friday, i'll wait.

that's weird, i've seen like 5 or 6 shows there and they've never checked bags

i feel like i've only smelled weed like once or twice at this venue, if you're gonna smoke i'd make sure to be in the middle of the crowd, not right up front. it's not that huge of a venue, but yeah if you gotta smoke i would try something a little more discrete than a joint, maybe a one hitter

I've never been around weed in UT, and I've seen a ton of shows there now. Honestly, eat an edible beforehand if you wanna be high for it. The electric factory though.. that place is always smokey haha

There are never enough hands to do it all. We're going to have a drummer that we know from Baltimore play with us, that's the first time that has ever happened. We've never had someone join us onstage who’s not a member of Animal Collective. It's just to make the rhythm a little more human and allow us to make the songs looser and more open-ended onstage as opposed to just playing the programmed beats. I would say that's the biggest thing we're planning, is the live drummer."

Hate to burst ppl's bubble but I think the stream might be fake. Someone in the PW thread called Union Transfer and they said they don't know anything about a stream happening tonight. also if you click the link in the description of the video, it takes you to an extremely spammy looking site. I'm highly skeptical, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong
