Bummer that there won't be a stream leading up to the release date, I could let that slide though if I see a shipping notification from Domino within the next couple of days...

Also I forget if it's been discussed in here but I'm a little puzzled as to why they didn't put the deluxe edition out on clear vinyl, would have been sweet to see the slipmat while you listen.

That's a really good point. A lightly tie dyed clear vinyl would have been sick to look at with the zoetrope underneath

Who knows, maybe we'll still get a splattered colored vinyl to go along with the painting aesthetic

The part in that face culture interview where Dave is talking about Vertical kinda blew my mind, because the super explosive part in that song (haven't heard the actual thing yet obvs but you can hear it in the bathroom flac and right at the end of the amazon sample) is like a perfect sonic representation of that feeling of vertigo you get from looking up at a high ceiling or down from a high place. Like, they nailed it perfectly. Fucking genius.

When the Avey AMA happened on Reddit, I made a point to be the first post, and to ask if they'd ever play Fickle Cycle again. I didn't expect him to respond, but I wanted to make sure he saw it hahaha

Good call about Slippi. I love the album version, as well as the live version when they played it (MPP era)
