there's a way to (?) as long as there's a light to discover it

in the law there's move to move as there's a need to uncover it

as a joker of suds let's drift through the mud and lift this itchy veil, same old tale

tryna approach the hidden picture

for a misplaced stash let's search through the trash
and write this ignorant lurch, wicked urge

raise the gap above a whisper
speak to sound a spoiling blister
raise the gap above a whisper
taught to cure a blister picture

Great job man.

Read the lyrics you peasants

thank you, would love help filling in the blanks!

I can't say I enjoy the new song on the first listen but it's clear it's far more interesting than Floridada, and that it could be a big grower, like all the best songs made by AnCo. Experimentations with sounds in CHz were pointless, here it works better and makes much more sense.

I definitely disagree, I feel like the sounds used in Centipede Hz all create a consistent and interesting atmosphere.

I would have said the opposite. To me, many of the sounds in Centipede Hz were just put over the songs. In their other albums, they participated much more in the song structures and the melodies.

I definitely disagree, I feel like the sounds used in Centipede Hz all create a consistent and interesting atmosphere. Literally the only sound I can think of on that record that I feel iffy about is the buzzing noise on the verses of Rosie Oh, but if I'm in the right headspace even that clicks for me. I really don't understand the distaste for Hz, I think it's one of their most impressive albums... but hey, we're all in our own reality tunnels and are experiencing the Rorschach blot of the universe from different angles.

Anyways, I definitely think the tracks are growers and will be even better in the context of the album as a whole. I rarely ever listen to Anco songs on a stand-alone basis, they're all so enriched by their surroundings.

THANK YOU

what I made out (a lot of similarities):

All the pieces where they ought to be,
but it's clear that we don't look lightly.
Take a place around the tabletop,
make a push to wake the moment up.

Say, you want to say what's wrong, any way to blow up the cover.
There's a way thru bogs as long as there's a light to discover it.

Like a twisted stick, let's dig thru the sick and find a delightful space.
Since to say.

It's a god that is all things unknown,
and a lane with things that will bring you down. (this is the one i really feel iffy on)
Not ashamed to say the instinct's there,
but a virtue to deny the beat.

Know the costs and moves to cause an endeavour, we've globbed onto something.
In the law, there's room to move as there's a need to uncover it.

As a joker starts, let's sift thru the muck and lift this dingey veil.
Same old tale.

Get mixed in this crippling fixture, try and approach the hidden mixtures.
Get mixed in this crippling fixture, try and approach the hidden mixtures.

For a misplaced stash, let's search thru the trash and write this ignorant lurch.
Wicked urge.

Raise the gap above a whisper, speak to sound a spoiling blister.
Raise the gap above a whisper, talk to cure a blistered picture.

I really think you're right about cinch, and i like joker of suds...

the grunts in the song sound micachu inspired and some of the melodies sound deradoorian inspired - anyone else agree?

Anyone else hearing Iko Ovo in the caveman-like grunting that carries throughout the track? This seems like the perfect marriage of their older "primitive" style and their newer interests e.g. techno and sax. Loving it so much!

this is so damn sexy. omg. and ya i hear footwork-esque beats too clams.

omg so into this sound. wowowowow..... ugh blerg. dont even kno what to say abt it... its pretty visual tho. love how it seems like this a few other songs will just about function as 'beats' in the same way some of mpp kinda does, if that makes sense. it kinda seems mpp-ish in some ways but then all the ethereal stuff is gone so its really vivid and in yr face. seems kinetic in a way like honeycomb or applesauce does and yet its a little breezier and dancier... light but heavy... ugh....

sounds like aveys saying 'i can eat it'. or i would eat that/it/her

horn riff makes me think of burial... a smoky den of ill repute. pandas vocal arrangement makes his voice seem even more instrumenty and make it feel less like an electro pop song and more like a strait up beat that is sampling this weird hockety vocal. so into it...

feel like this album is gonna be such a crazy, energetic play thru. like they said floridada just sets things up and the energy keeps rollin the whole time... seems like its gonna be a crazy roller coaster ride.

Think it said it in the app description or something.

Definitely feel the Down There comparisons. Has a really swampy vibe to it. Beat almost sounds like twigs snapping. Everything about this sounds so assured and delicately arranged. I love it. The only thing I don't get about it at all is the title. Don't think it suits it at all

people talkin about iko ovo which I'm not very familiar with, but the audio in the video reminds me of little white singer so I'm guessing it's the same vibe?

There is a "whoo whoo" part in the background of "Lying in the Grass" that keeps reminding me off the "whoo whoo" part at the beginning of Neil Young's "We R In Control"

listen to the part that comes in about six seconds in.

I've been listening to this song on repeat with headphones trying to figure out the avey to panda ratio, and I'm still pretty stumped. I do think it's avey doing the first main notes of the hocketing parts, but the "get mixed in this crippling fixture" part mostly sounds like Noah to me. This song is a mystery.
