This song has been blowing me away all day. Everything about it is so fantastic, and it's got so much going on in it. It's got dry (reminiscent of strawberry jam) but incredibly dense (merriweather, centipede hz) production and different harmonies (as well as trade offs) come flying at you constantly. The song has all these great little sections with their own harmonies and trade offs, and it's all repeatedly wrapped up by Floridada's glorious chorus. The way they've embraced the pop chorus on this song is incredible, merriweather may have had the poppiest melodies the guys will ever write, but this song really utilizes pop song structure in the best way possible. The production also has great little intricacies throughout the song.

what about TS' "l-l-l-l-l-let go!" pretty uninventive but still real good

The first couple seconds before the Grass drumbeat reminds me of Dan Deacon.

I actually like it now, I hadn't listened through good speakers yet (or smoked pot). it is a very fun track, the production is really interesting (slasher flicks/strawberry jam vibes). it's not that I don't like the chorus, I'm just not blown away considering their amazing history of choruses; Avey's voice sounds great though!

Deak is sad because this song ripped off the opening track to his upcoming album which was going to be "NevaDada" and have vocal tradeoffs with himself

by that I think you mean vocal trade offs with his long lost twin brother... that's the reason his solo album is delayed!

I love the vocal trade off between the two! It reminds me of two friends that just got back from a trip and they're so excited to tell everything about it at once!! Avey has a great voice without it being layered in effects!
Its very fun song too! Much different lyrical then chz where I feel like most of those lyrics are dark. I hope most of,the album is fun like, this!
I absolutely love the drums too!! I think someone already compared it to Grass and I totally agree! I really believe this album going to masterpiece once we get it in full!! I also feel like it's going to open the door to new fans like MPP did!
I'm very pleased with this being the first AC song since CHZ

I like this anti-reverb approach. And though it's probably the poppiest they ever did, I think it's actually experimental for them — they had this idea of all sounds being close to the listener, song structures without redundancy, and followed this direction. It's interesting to have an album like that made by them, like one of the different directions they took.
Usually I don't pay much attention to the lyrics, because music (voice included) hits directly, but sometimes it also clicks with the words — here it's 'the bridge so old so let it go'. It's like non-attachment to the problems we produce with our thoughts, believing these problems are real. So this part encourages me to let it go.
I like how Noah sounds in the bridge, like he's so young, younger brother of Dave, hehe.

yeah, listen close after the wipeout sample and you can hear him doing his arpeggio thing, tho it seems like he's in a lot of spots on here but it kinda blends in with the synth.
