Hey PK + CA speculative sleuths! I have a question I just recently found myself puzzling over.
This picture from the Grim Reaper sessions features all the songs' working titles. For the sake of clearly illustrating my question, here's that list typed with the eventual official track names on the right.
1. Come To Yr Senses = Come To Your Senses
2. Acid Wash = Acid Wash
3. Jabberwocky = Jabberwocky
4. Mr. Noah = Mr Noah
5. Nadir = Selfish Gene
6. Principal Real = Principe Real
7. Ms. Pacman = Faces In The Crowd
8. Rbt Frost = Untying the Knot
9. Tropic of Cancer = Tropic of Cancer
10. Cosplay = Cosplay
11. Faces In The Crowd = ???
12. Sequential Circuits = Sequential Circuits
13. Butcher Baker = Butcher Baker Candlesticmaker
14. Boys Latin = Boys Latin
15. Papadum = No Man's Land
16. G-Yeah! = G-Yeah! (as far as we know...!)
17. Garage = Crosswords
18. Lonely Wanderer = Lonely Wanderer
19. This Side of Paradise = This Side of Paradise
20. The Preakness = The Preakness
I would like to direct your attention to item 11 on the list!
My question: Since G-Yeah was known as G-Yeah from the get-go, and official Faces In the Crowd was originally known as Ms. Pacman, what is the real OG Faces In the Crowd??? Am I missing a track? Is it Panda's ultimately scrapped cover of the Tom Petty song of the same name???
Any insight would be much appreciated! No insight will be appreciated in it's own way, too! Outsight will not be tolerated!
PK, by the way, I just wanted to give you compliments for the sick work you and Bear did together! The sonic landscape of this album is like a cotton candy spilling out of the fangs of a Nintendo 65 insect hero--which is to say I love it! All the circuit bendy stuff is maybe my favorite part!
Thanks for all you've given Sonic the Hot Dog!
