Hot damn I wish Panda had played a slightly different set at this. The quality is so good and it's brilliant so far but imagine Jabber, Tropic, or Principe in this hi-def mmmmmmmmmmmm

is it just me or is panda singing pretty differently on these? Sounds more raw and kinda angsty and more weird than super pretty
like kinda agressive and demented on the first couple tracks - its sick as fuck

His vocals were really fantastic that weekend. He just seemed a little rusty on his gear.

Wurd .
The mixes on the Tomboy Deluxe box are all differant ..
They were run like some of the GR trax , by running the music part of the mix , then the vocals only
then recombining them . It gives more space and clarity to both elements .... Especially for vinyl , where wide panning gets narrowed .

yesterday i found out about this color called Baker-miller pink
http://www.therapycolor.com/BakerMiller ... r-Pink.php
i can't say for certain but it does seem to be the pink that wonderfully complements the magenta and each of the colors in the artwork! it is a good inspiration to re-read peoples' what colors feel to match each song, and also to look at the studio photographs again!
He observed that his blood pressure, pulse, and heart rate were unaffected by exposure to this shade of pink. However, "after intentionally increasing cardiovascular activity through a series of intense physical exercises, [he] found that this color had a marked effect on lowering [his] heart rate, pulse and respiration as compared to other colors."
BBCM as a song is a surreal yet direct embodiment of this i think
In an open ended way, to me at this moment , Person pitch feels like a water and air connecting record, Tomboy feels to connect with the ears, brain and tongue, and after processing this, PBVSGR and all related songs (I still am yet to hear the newest ones!!) feel very much like music from the heart for the heart.
it is a most unique internal ocean with rivers flowing all throughout us!

Thanks PK, some really nice insight into the whole sound design and 'coloring in the outlines' aspect of the recording

this article is so amazing, so interesting, i think i understand about 2% of it

interesting to read how Noah sees the music in colour, like with synaesthesia.... its actually bought a whole Lennon vibe to the music - doubled vocals, im sure i'e read how he would describe his songs in colours to George Martin.... It is such a visual album, so colourful so great to read all the analogies to opacity and chromes etc.
The 'faked out light sources' is particularly interesting to me, invoking great surrealist collisions, like an incongruous dream, collage of impossible spaces. A dizzying lack of certainty....
So amazing, the detail continues to astound.
reminds me of Neo Rauch's painting....
