CHz is without a doubt their weirdest album. every song is goofy as shit. father time is the weirdest thing ever

theres nothing weird about the more experimental music they made before. way crazier shit has been made. i think its weirder that avey's writing got so poppy in that weird way. like there is nothing 100% emotionally-serious to me about CHz and thats incredibly weird for an AC album

Mercury man seems emotionally serious to me. So does Gotham and Crimson. So does new town burnout.

applesauce even if avey texted geo sayin he was gonna write a song about fruit does talk about some serious emotions i think. and wth todays supernatural is a real sad song lyrically "made a shadow with ur hand i made it like your heart but it will never be the same"
but its sad in the best weird way i know what umean with the weirdness
like the lyrics are paralleled with the sound against the songs in the sense that underneath the weirdness is true emotion and experience, just as underneath all the crazy sounds n stuff lies some real deep strong emotional melodies n songs n stuff
imo
i think chz goes much deeper than we all think
imo...,

i guess every person experiences an album in a different kind of way, but CHz hits me hard. i think i even shed a few tears to gotham and mercury man at some point.

Yeah you know whose music is really weird? Lady Gaga's.

u said that u thought it was weird that AC's writing got poppier. Hash sarcastically said Lady Gaga is weird because she is very poppy

I think this C Hz-weirdness discussion just goes to show that everyone has a different opinion of what makes music 'weird' just like everyone has a different opinion about what makes music good or bad

Also just a dig at Lady Gaga and all the people who called her weird

Anyway yeah it's just semantics/subjectivity at this point so whatever, all we can do is agree to disagree. My point, and I think Scooter's point, is that CHz doesn't sound as chaotic or unhinged as Indian. And we both would like to see AC try for something in that messy kind of direction.

I don't have very high hopes for that though, but we'll see.

If we fantasize — I think it'd be cool to have something acoustic/stripped-down like KEXP's Wide Eyed on the new album.

I wanted something acoustic like that if it was the full band but knowing that they're a trio I want to hear more electronics and harmonies again.

A friend of mine and myself were going through some AC stuff the other day and when I stumbled into those 2 recordings we agreed that would be badass to have an entire album of that stuff.

Make the song a bit taller. More space in the middle. Our past records, especially with a lot of guitars—they were kind of fogged up.

Do you think we will have to wait for Panda's ep to officially come out before we hear about when this is actually coming? Or does the digital pre release mean AC is free to make whatever announcements? The website/live album make it seem like they are.
