Depends on if you're including solo tracks too I guess.

In which case CEMETERIES. That middle section...

Anyway good picks. I'd put No More Runnin somewhere. Maybe Two Sails on a Sound if you can handle two 12 minute tracks. Maybe not.

I'd replace Doggy with something like De Soto de Son I think, more chilled out. My choices are way too long though, lol

One of my favorite things about AC is the way they really blur the line between ambient and beat-driven music. I remember in that article about the recording of Merriweather, Ben Allen mentions how the first and second halves of Daily Routine both use a lot of the same samples, they're just all delay-ed the fuck out in the back half. Sometimes it feels like the dudes are ready to switch from rhythmic music to beatless music at a moment's notice. It's like the distinction between the two styles is just purely superficial to them

Anyone's thoughts on the chances the new album is more on the chilled-out side? If they did, it'd be like finding Jesus, only real

1 time i saw a thing about using animal collective and panda bear as lullabies for child. it was someone's blog post probably from around 09/10. been trying to find it since, think it had a lot of young prayer stuff on it. i used to listen to ac/pb every night before i went to sleep, partly because i think a lot of their music does have a lullaby quality but probably also because it was very familiar and comforting.

its funny this thread was made because i was considering making a thread about 'animal collective mood playlists' and ask you all for them

glass bottom boat is really beautiful and chill even if its like <2 mins

Country Report is also very relaxing but it might be too energetic I guess. A bit more awake.

A few of their remixes are pretty chill, such as:

Tamyawt remix
Love Like a Sunset remix
Welt Am Draht remix

The Mirando remix might be a bit too beat-heavy but it always relaxes me because it's so blissed out

Also:
I've Got Mine
Jungle Heart
Hey Friend (definitely sounds the most like a lullaby of any of these)
Noah's Ark set
