Seriously, I did not understand why everyone was clamoring for Papadom. It was a weirdo track that I liked fine as an opener for the ATP bootleg, but I never thought of it as much of a song.
But hearing No Mans Land - it's fantastic. Love the lyrics. Love the vocals. It's a song now!

Also - I wish I were better at editing/mixing audio because I basically want to remake the ATP boot with studio versions, including transitions. But it won't feel right until Gyeah comes out - which I still can't imagine in what context that will be released. A single? Another EP? Are there still other songs that were never played live?

Anyway, the EP is pretty cool I guess. Nice to hear Papadum and Heart & soul. Like someone else said, I kind of miss that world-musicy sample from Cosplay, made it sound like PP again. The Preakness it alright, never having heard it prior to this. Inspired me to give PBVGR another chance.

The bassline on No Man's Land really adds a lot.

the ep kills. crosswords is so crisp sounding. i completely agree with the previous comments saying that the grim reaper version sounds very muddy compared to this one. this gets it perfect.

i was a little skeptical about no mans land the first listen, but after a couple it really grew on me a ton. I listened to the boots and, more recently, the ATP demos, too much.

jabberwocky nails the way that he's been playing it live and adds a little more punch. same with new preakness. it was so intense live and this version completely delivers on that, and just sounds perfect.

i wasn't sure about cosplay at first either - missed all of the samples - but it's really chill. the last few minutes after the lyrical parts end are so goldilox.

Don't get me wrong, I love this version of the Preakness, but the original demo is better. The slow empty eerie crawl, how naked it sounded. Idk. But this release is amazing. How are all of the songs consistently good from this era? Noah is a genius, and he's on fire right now.

i love the urgency of this version of the preakness. it was a real highlight of his sf show last year so i'm glad to have a studio recording of a similar version of the song.

Crosswords came out the worst on the LP, and this version (EP) is everything the song was supposed to be, which is great. The weird robot voice is mixed way down and the drums kick hard. It's one of the best written songs for the era, and it's finally be done justice (btw the Pete rock version is killer too). Jabba is maybe my fave PBVSGR song and now I finally get to hear a studio version... Cosplay too, that's the anthem. Still miss some of the things that were on the demo but I understand why they aren't there, incredible song. Preakness is stunning as well. I'm gonna need a lot of posts to say all I want to say about these songs, this era, and panda in general I guess haha. Anyway, amazing set of songs.
