I'm lying on a beach in a cove in Mauritius on my honeymoon, my wife is asleep and I'm listening to person pitch all the way through for the first time in years and I'm holding back the tears of joy. Overwhelming. Good Girl is just transitioning and I feel like my whole body is melting like a piece of buttered toast.
My dick has just blown off straight into the cove and in a dolphin's beak.

I lurked for a long time before I joined. Can't remember the year but I feel like it was during the big MPP freebird.

I joined ~1&1/2 years ago because I became an AC fan at the tail end of the C Hz album cycle? still not entirely sure how that happened

Just saw this Rolling Stone review of SJ.
I know I'm a superfan but seriously, how much of an asshole do you have to be to come up with this stuff? This is why people think music critics are whackoffs.

Anyone else getting really impatient for an announcement of any sort? It seemed like before CHz, we still had the boots to keep us amused, but now the silence is near deafening.
Hopefully people aren't forgetting that this band exists.

I was actually just joking. Like, it's actually just been two days since this Instagram post and we've all been feverishly speculating I here for 48 hour straight, losing our minds

Wait how do we know they finished mixing? They finished recording a few weeks ago, but don't remember seeing anything about mixing.

I just noticed that on the cover of panda's Homebase ep it lists "homebase" in the tracklisting as well as to the side as the title of the ep... Is there a hidden track or something or am I reading too much into it?

i think someone eventually talked to noah and it's not a song. my two theories though are that "homebase" is the the untitled song at the end of the freebutt set or that bros is a multi-title song like "carrots".
also reminder that there are two eyes starin at you from the homebase cover ~~~

I've never heard that untitled song, but I like the idea that homebase is the first half of Bros

it's a cool set and the rare one-off ac track. also notable because panda played with some other dudes on random percussion that tour. t

i do too, except that the song structure doesn't support it and the first lyric is "hey man" which seems brosier than homebasier.

I've always thought that maybe Homebase was the name of the first half of "Laughed for a World Filled with Fantasy". The vocal sample in the back kind of sounds like it's singing "Homebase" to me.
On that note, has anyone EVER figured out what the sample is in the first half of the song. I know there's the Sam Cooke sample, but that's only effectively working as percussion. What is creating the melody?
I've been asking this since like 2 CA's ago, but no one has ever cracked it and I'm stumped.

i emailed sore eros in 2011 about it
wrote:
Hi JW,
That tour was a while back, but i do remember that Greg (gary war) and I were on that tour to be backing band for Ariel Pink , but He got deported when arriving in the UK due to lack of working visas or something.
I was old friends with Noah from back in College so he was psyched that we were along and let us open for those shows as Sore Eros and Gary War. And yes we did play with Noah for most of that UK/Europe tour. He had pretty much started working out the songs for Person Pitch and was using 2 Dr. Samples live with the songs and I remember the first time hearing them at this Radio program before the tour actually started and being blown away by them and then by the second show of the tour I wanted to be part of it, and was familarizing with the songs pretty fast. I feel Noah, (used to playing with other members of the AC at that point) was feeling vulnerable on stage alone so he asked Greg and I to join him. We used whatever fx pedals we had and ran vocal mics through them and gave them directly to Noah who also had an onstage mixer. Greg and I would switch off playing percussion through those mics and also doing backing vocals/harmonies. Since noah was controlling the mixes I never really knew how loud we were or how much of an impact we had on the set. I have heard bootlegs from those shows and I can hear the stuff greg and i were doing under all the samples and hooks. It was all so much fun and I still feel so greatful to have been part of that.
A year or two later I heard noah released a new record which contained most of those songs. I was really happy for how well received it was. in the liner notes he thanks greg and I. I think he spelt my name wrong though, it says Robert Robertson, not Robinson. Which I thought was funny.
As far as dates go for that, I'm not exactly sure. you should contact Todd from Carpark, he booked the tour and probably has them.
I was able to scrounge up a Photo from that uk part of the tour. Gary war (L), Noah (C) and me on the right.
HOpe this helps out!,
-Robert

Yeah thanks, I remember hearing they played with him but always thought someone had just smudged the details and that they only opened for him. That's cool

I have the answer in one of my old email accounts from when Pete asked Noah about it for me. I will dig it out this week! For some reason I remember it being way less exciting than we were all speculating it to be haha
