Finally received my copy in the mail today. The only songs I had heard prior were Mr Noah, Boys Latin, and the wordless version of Principe Real.
Favorite tracks (on first listen): Come to Your Senses, Principe Real
Hoping Sequential Circuits and Butcher Baker Candlestick Maker will grow on me. Everything else is fantastic so far.

I like PBVSGR, but I knew from the first few songs off mr noah that it wasn't gonna be my fave. Idk this album just doesn't feel as psychedelic or special/personal as his others. I feel like panda phoned it in a little bit. It's just not very trippy. It's interesting and all, but I feel like all the songs are really similar for the most part, I kind of knew what to expect. Most of the songs start with a weird sound effect that goes into a weird repetitive soundscape with percussion, then panda starts singing over that soundscape and eventually it just kind of ends, without going through any mjaor changes. I know Noah said that this album was the sound of him having fun, but I guess I don't want to hear fun. I want to analyze myself and go through layer after layer of panic/sublime peacefulness until I discover something about my soul/self. That said, I still love the album. Tropic of Cancer, Mr Noah, and Boys Latin all day. This dog definitely got bit on the leg. Idk. I've only listened through once. I'll have to give it another go.

album is really damn trippy imo. Far from phoned in too, lots of layers and stuff to find in it. Again for trippyness, the outro of come to your senses is trippy as it gets

I started liking Principe once I ignored the vocals
Edit: also, it's cool how this album is almost symmetrical lyrically/thematically(sometimes) and literally around CTYS

I'd call this an excellent album
Couldn't have come out at a better time, what a good soundtrack for dark, foggy walks. Love it, real gift

I've had this problem before where I can't skip around in Red Bull's music player. Anyone else have that issue?
I do plan on listening to the whole thing, but I wanna hear Jabba rite now

this is a splendiferously dubby take on Boys Latin! i am very happy with the way they have mixed this recording, just as the Modern Art recording had the feel of being acoustic Nirvana in NY, allowing that raw and pure side of the songs to shine, this mixing has something special about it that emphasizes the timelessness of the music, much about these songs could have come from many eras of known and lost cultures, they just happened to be now!
i do think i haven't heard Jabawocky before today also.
it's been fun hearing just how amazing it is and at first thinking the song coming on was going to be Ms Pacman/Faces!!
i do think i haven't heard Jabawocky before today also.

Acid Wash is UNREAL. Such a good closer. The last chord always scares the shit out of me though.

Yeah this is a really really great ctys. Pretty psyched that we have this, the radio show and the Boiler Room set from this era.

Should I feel bad that the Red Bell recording is going to replace the actual album for me? :-/
The live versions just give so much more attention to the instrumentals. They really pop, despite jabba being pretty quiet. On top of that, the vocals are so much more passionate and raw. The only thing missing are the harmonies.

It's really great to hear the "classic" live versions of these songs in such amazing clarity. +jabberwocky holy balls
Edit: I love the album. Wouldn't change a thing. Just making that clear. It's just fun to relive the concert experience, since the songs are so different live
