Panda Bear aka Noah Lennox, front man and founding member of Indie Rock royalty Animal Collective, premieres his forthcoming new LP, Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper (Domino) in a one-off concert event presented and broadcast live by Boiler Room.

Featuring new material alongside heralded classics from Person Pitch, 2007, and Tomboy, 2011, Panda Bear is accompanied by a unique reproduction of visual art collaborator Danny Perez's tour video display.

An international cultural platform, Boiler Room has transitioned from underground streaming service to global online music portal. This event marks their debut broadcast from within MoMA PS1’s iconic geodesic dome as part of Sunday Sessions.

The full broadcast is available to stream online for those unable to attend.

^yeah, that's what I was wondering. He played Tomboy jams throughout last year's tour, but no Person Pitch jams as far as I know. I wonder if Boiler Room just puts something like that on every live show press release?

Someone mentioned in the Greaper thread a while back that it would be amazing if PB threw a reworked Carrots into one of these shows :guitar:

yeah, that person pitch note caught my eye too. i'm just going to assume it's a mistake and not get excited, but i'd love to be pleasantly surprised!

Regardless of the stream, we'll obviously record. I definitely hope someone rips the stream as it is happening too...I wouldn't count on Noah allowing the full set to be downloaded.

Boiler Room literally always posts their streams on their youtube as far as I know. Sometimes it takes a lil while but I'm pretty sure everything they've streamed is available to watch even if there isn't a full quality dl.

Sure, but it wouldn't be out of his character to not allow something to be restreamed/downloaded in full after the show is over. It has happened a bunch over the past few years (ATP, NPR, other festivals). Wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? An extra rip never hurt anyone.

So the Boiler Room article said it will be streamed for 72 hours after the live performance. Nothing about a direct download :( but that's ok! We'll have 3 days to get the perfect rip.

This is a pretty amazing event, though I'm still a little confused. At first I thought it was more like a DJ set or something. I don't know. Maybe because they specifically mentioned Person Pitch material. So it's just a PB set inside Moma? Why is the length of the concert so long?
