Hey I just wanted to post my favorite AC Live performance. This completely blew my mind when I first heard it, completely expanded my perception of this song

The change in timing always throws me off, but this is and INTENSE performance
although i think it's kind of a missed opportunity that the descending synth thing in the chorus doesn't continue for longer

Was just listening to the title track from Bitches Brew, and the way the rhythms just sort of tumble around reminds me a lot of Danse Manatee, especially parts like 2:52 in Meet the Light Child

it doesn't throw me off, just blows my mind how they're able to achieve the exact same feeling with synthesizers instead of guitars, and slow the song down to a crawl. i never would have thought that i'd enjoy something like this because one of the reasons I love the Feels version of Banshee Beat is how quickly Avey moves from line to line, and i thought i'd really miss it, but i don't at all. on a side note, what do people call the "buppitabuppitabuppita" during the verses of that song, i have no idea how to describe it

I will probably be there! if you are going, look for the tall, friendly guy with a black "University of Brugge" sweatshirt on, and say hi! sobriety not guaranteed

the reworked version of banshee beat is actually one of the songs which no bootleg or recording can even remotely compare to having experienced it live. it was played as an encore just after the break and there was almost complete silence in the crowd as the song started. the whole venue was shattering by the drones and everybody seemed to have been pulled completely out of this world while the song lasted. great times!

Do y'all use any sort of alt artwork for Ark or just the hcti cover?

Wish I could hear Strawberry Jam With Panda's Harmony above Avey, that would be something nice. Even tho The album is perfect the way it is, just think that would be interesting

This sounds amazing. Wish I could have experienced it...at least we have a recording that imperfectly approximates it.

It's a sweet lil EP. I like to think of Baleen Sample a nice hearty meal full of lots of different flavors, then Learning How to Dive is like a palette cleanser.
Nothing but good things to say about the first 2 tracks too. It's perfect front to back

Can never have too much AC music. I wonder if they have things they've recorded over the years but never released.
I feel you, I wonder about this a lot. For all we know their best song could be one that none of us have ever heard before.
And I would totally die to hear those summer of 2000 recordings that got stolen

I could listen to hours of visiting friends. I wish they made more stuff like that.
I love having sung tongs on vinyl, because side C is just visiting friends. sometimes when i listen to it, as soon as the needle lifts up after finishing side C, i just set it right back down at the beginning again, and let it repeat a few more times

it took actually reading the Strawberry Jam lyric sleeves to realize that there was a line at the end of Chores and it wasn't just vocalizing
this didn't happen just now but it WAS enlightening
