Mary put up a recording she did from the DJ set she went to earlier this summer.

The Deak has really made me eat my words. Beautiful guitar and vocals and I like the electronic groove.

Yeah those On a Beach and Summertime Clothes remixes were sweet. I remember seeing them a month or two back and being really stoked with the show, although I saw the guy who got the live audio job instead of me helping AnCo set up, which really pissed me off because it should have been me up there >:( But alas, my life continues to be a never-ending irony.

full version of on a beach starting at about 35:40!!!!! omg the beat is so sick.
Woo! I feel like I will have a hard time referring to it as "Maya" after 7 years haha. According to the tracklist, the beat that it mixed with is isolee - beau mot plage. Glad we can finally listen more than 20 minutesCan someone rip this?
Since I don't know how to mediafire, I'll just tell you how I ripped it.
1) Using Safari, go to that page and start playing the stream.
2) Go to the Window tab > click Activity
3) Under that page's activity (at the very bottom I think) will be the .m4a file. It's 23.6MB
4) highlight and copy the file name
5) open gmail and compose new message
6) paste file name in body of email -- it will make a link
7) right click link, save as... and done!
enjoy!

my computer is being buggy so i can only see the first 3 songs in the bottom right corner? sorry if it doesn't work for you all either, i tried.. lol
edit: jk you can totally see the whole tracklist
ive played this set multiple times at home and at work and i've never seen the tracklist. does it become clickable after?
at any rate, can anyone post the tracklist? i can literally only recognize like 3 songs besides the AC songs, and 1 of them is like a random enviro or talking sample, and the other is a CAN/Holger Czukay song...
the songs directly after Cool in the Pool I'm curious as heck about. Thanks!
If the tracklist somehow becomes visible to me I will edit my post and include it
1.4 by Super Silent
Uryan Geldim (Kompleks edit) by Cem Karaca
African Rhythms by Bookworms
Basic Wonder by Basic Channel
Cool in the Pool by Holger Czukay
Hot Spectrum by Electronicat
Gore by Black Dice
Good Day Today by David Lynch
Summertime Clothes by Animal Collective
Hyph Mngo by Joy Orbison
Maya (Demo) by Avey Tare (mixed with Beau Mot Plage - Isolee
I will Fight No More Forever by Peyote
Oscillations by Silver Apples
Wildflower (edit) by Bee Gees
Club Cannibal by Ashra

I met Dave tonight in LA at a friend's gallery and he brought up the recent DJ sets so I decided to ask about the "From A Beach" resurgence and he said that "Maya" was the original demo version that he put together for Merriweather but it didn't make the cut.
He also said that Josh has been working on two remixes, one for Yoko Ono and one for Steve Spacek from Africa Hitech.

That sounds dope, but seriously Deak, don't you have something more important to be working on??

Anything could be considered more important than remixing a Yoko Ono song

Looks like AC/DJ will be returning to Los Globos in LA on October 11!
http://www.clublosglobos.com/event/6790 ... s-angeles/
I'm guessing Dave will be there since he lives close by, hopefully Deakin too (would love to see where he's at with the Africa project). Anyone thinking of going? Saida & I live about 10 minutes walk away and will probably be in attendance.

They uploaded a new set to mix cloud. Jammin tunes. From what I can there are two avey songs (one sounds familiar) the other new. In opposite order.

Whoa, that first Avey jam is nuts, sounds like an oddsac or TTG leftover, but dancier. Haven't gotten to the 2nd one or the new deakin song yet.

Is this the first time this avey tare song has been released? I've never heard of it before and I think I've heard every last thing they've done that is out there in the wild. Also, who named it fly?

I have these and the Deakin mix for allez-allez mentioned earlier as well. When I downloaded them, I gave them artwork (if they didn't come with it already) and put tracklists (and sometimes when the tracks start) in the lyrics metadata, but I was a high-schooler when I did this, so be kind if there's mistakes, yo.
